volunteer Position Overview:
Tribe Church is seeking passionate and dedicated Youth Leader Volunteers to guide and mentor our middle school and high school students, divided into groups for boys and girls.
This role is an opportunity to create a welcoming, spiritually rich environment where youth can grow in their faith and build authentic relationships.
Middle School Girls Leader (captain, wingman or helper)
Middle School Boys Leader (captain, wingman or helper)
High School Girls Leader (captain, wingman or helper)
High School Boys Leader (captain, wingman or helper)
NOTE: This is an unpaid volunteer position. We will evaluate this new approach in May of 2025 to determine if this structure should be continued or needs adjustments.
CAPTAIN group leader Overview:
Wednesday Evenings: Group Leaders will oversee their respective groups during Wednesday evening youth gatherings, leading teaching, discussions and prayer
Middle School Girls Leader
Middle School Boys Leader
High School Girls Leader
High School Boys Leader
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and facilitate age- and gender-appropriate lessons and discussions that inspire spiritual growth and friendship.
Wednesday evenings will consist of a 6 pm - 9 pm time commitment
6:00 - 6:45 pm - planning meeting with team - Youth Leaders will need to arrive at 6pm on Wednesdays to meet with the Youth Leaders team, planning and preparing, along with connecting with Youth Coordinator and potentially Tribe Staff. Be ready to welcome youth at 6:45 pm - youth group will begin at 7pm and end at 9 pm.
7:00 - 9:00 pm - youth group
45 mins of welcome, worship and message with the entire youth group together (organized by Youth Coordinator)
45 mins of small groups led by Group Leaders
30 mins of end of evening activities (games, fellowship) in the multipurpose room for those who want to participate (organized by Youth Coordinator)
Mentorship:
Mentor: Develop an assistant (volunteer) who can assist you on Wednesdays and lead your Wednesday program if you are unavailable.
Connect: Build meaningful one-on-one relationships to help students feel seen, heard, and valued.
Community Building:
Culture: Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where youth feel safe to share and grow.
Recruit: Actively recruit youth to participate in Wednesday meetings and church events.
We are also looking for a WINGMAN and HELPER for each group!

6:00 - 6:45 pm - Meet with Youth Leader Team
6:45 pm - Greet Youth
7:00 pm - Welcome
7:05 pm - Worship
7:25 pm - Announcements
7:30 pm - Message
7:45 pm - Small Group Break-out Session (Gender and Level)
8:30 pm - Wrap Up/ Soft End Time - sports/games in the gym if they want to stay longer
9:00 pm - End Time
captain Qualifications:
A strong personal faith and commitment to Jesus.
Experience in youth ministry or related fields is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
A passion for mentoring and supporting youth in their spiritual journeys.
Regular Sunday morning attendance at Tribe Church.
A willingness to receive regular feedback and be taught.
